Known issues with today's ISO release (2022-09-10)

I'll keep this list updated as we find more issues:

When installing Onyx, GDM picks GNOME as default. Onyx is still installed and you can choose it through the login screen as normal
On installation the user account is added to the wheel group, but the /etc/sudoers file is not properly amended. This can be fixed by going into a TTY using Ctrl+Alt+FX (X being 3,4,5, whatever your preference is) and manually uncommenting the %wheel ... line in /etc/sudoers
- EDIT: We've released a 2nd testing ISO to hopefully fix this. If the issue persists, follow the above instructions, otherwise no action needs to be taken
On some hardware/systems, the ISO can take a longer time to boot, the reason for this is currently unknown but is under investigation

I was able to use this iso to install crystal but for some reason it was using the wrong UUID for my boot partition. I went through the installation process again (using jade-gui for both) and the problem persisted (different incorrect UUID). This was causing it to hang on boot and dump me into an emergency shell. I changed the UUID in my fstab which fixed it.

Some extra info that may or may not be useful:

It is an nvme ssd with both the boot (EFI) and root partition
I have a different SSD and an HDD also connected
It did not seem to use any other UUID listed from blkid (like from the SSD or HDD)

Also, I believe the sudoers file is still not being properly amended but that was a quick fix.

Other than that everything looks good and I appreciate all the hard work!

tiggy Hi, thanks for reporting this! We've actually experienced this issue beforehand with the incorrect UUID for the boot partition, we're looking into it!

Instead of switching to a tty and logging in as root users can also just run su in a terminal, which will get them into a root shell
