Over the last month or so, I've been trying out different distributions in VMs, just to see what else is out there. I've also become increasingly convinced Flatpaks might not be perfect, but they do a "good enough" job for a wide variety of people/workloads.
Recently I tried openSUSE's MicroOS (the Desktop flavor). After you install, reboot, and log in for the first time, it installs a number of Flatpaks automatically, including Firefox.
I think that's a brilliant decision for any distribution that strongly believes in Flatpaks. If nothing else, it's one less thing for a distribution to package.
Are there any plans to "borrow" this practice? I'm sorry I don't have the coding chops to contribute to this idea, but I wanted to put it out there at least.
